Registration

Current FIU students who want to register for a FEEDS course may register on their own on the MyFIU homepage at https://my.fiu.edu by logging into PantherSoft. Students who have never taken a course at FIU may register as non-degree seeking student. The FEEDS Office can facilitate this process. The registration form needed for non-degree seeking students can be found on the Office of the Registrar's website at http://registrar.fiu.edu/
It is important that each student contact the FEEDS Office so that the logistics for receiving a course via FEEDS are arranged. If you have any questions, please contact Mercy Rueda-Schott at (305) 348-2801.

Photo I.D.

The FIU PantherCard is a computerized card that identifies you as an FIU student. It contains your photograph, name, ID number, signature, bar code for library use and a magnetic strip for electronic identification. The card is available to all currently enrolled FIU students, and it gives you access to the following services and programs: libraries, computer labs, instructional media centers, and book loans.
To receive a PantherCARD for the first time, a student must be currently enrolled;
must go in person to the PantherCARD Office at the respective campus (i.e. University Park, Biscayne Bay Campus, Pines Center, etc.); and present a legal photo ID and proof of registration for the current term.
The $10.00 annual ID service fee is assessed to all students as part of their matriculation fees and may not be waived.

Computer Account

All students enrolled at FIU and taking at least one course in the current semester automatically have access to a free e-mail account available just 24 hours after they register. It is important to use your FIU e-mail account because you may receive important University-related information. To obtain your FIU e-mail username and password, go to http://webmail.fiu.edu.

Library Resources

FEEDS students are still able to do research at the FIU libraries by going into the Library’s web site at http://library.fiu.edu. Here, students are able to gain access to WebLUIS (Library User Information System), which contains the catalogs of FIU and other SUS libraries, indexes to periodical articles, course reserves and much more. WebLUIS offers the advantage of searching more databases, viewing the full-text of selected journal articles, and connecting directly to websites.
In order to gain access to certain indexes and databases you will be prompted to enter your 14-digit library card number. This number can be found on the back of the FIU Panther Card. If you do not have a Panther Card because you never come to campus, you can fill out a form to get your Library Access Number. For more information, click here.

Grades

Due to the delayed receipt of final exams and projects, some FEEDS students may receive an Incomplete grade. After receiving an Incomplete, a student should wait three to four weeks to allow a faculty member to complete a Change of Grade form, which is then processed by the Registrar's Office.
All end-of-term grades are available to students at https://my.fiu.edu by logging into PantherSoft. If you have any questions about the grades that you received, please contact the respective instructor or academic department.
